Africa Collection for Transition
The current AFRICA COLLECTION FOR TRANSITION (ACT v1.0) contains more than 300 publication on complex emergency and disaster management in Sub-Saharan Africa. ACT is an initiative of the Payson Center, Human Info NGO and ICMH. 

Civil Military Operations Reference Library
The Center for Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance has created this reference library to provide those active in the areas of Civil-Military Operations, Civil-Military Cooperation, humanitarian assistance, disaster response, refugee operations, civil affairs and more with access to information containing multi-disciplinary insights and reference material they would need to help them work in a strategic, operational, or tactical environment.

Virtual Disaster Library
The Virtual Disaster Library was developed in November 1999, by PAHO/WHO (Pan American Health Organization / Regional Office of the World Health Organization). It contains 250 publications (25,000 pages) of experiences, ideas and solutions to advance the cause of disaster reduction.

Health Library for Disasters
The library was developed as a result of a consultation and exchange process between the emergency and disaster programs of World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), with the participation of all WHO technical departments as well as other UN agencies, such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR); ICRC; the SPHERE Project; non-governmental organizations such as OXFAM; and national organizations, such as the National Emergency Commission of Costa Rica, and WHO collaborating centers such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC-Atlanta), the Center for Research in the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED-Bruxelles) and academic institutions like Tulane University.

Humanity Development Library 2.0
The Humanity Development Library 2.0 contains more than 1.230 publications (160.000 pages) to help solve poverty, to increase human potential, and to provide education to all.

The Medical and Health Library
This library contains 210 publications (35,000 pages) in the field of Medicine and Health.

Food and Nutrition Library
This library contains 260 publications (28,000 pages) in the field of food and nutrition. The objective of this cooperative project is to provide those involved in the areas of food, nutrition, and basic needs with a comprehensive library of multidisciplinary insights and solutions to help solve poverty and malnutrition.

Collection on Critical Global Issues 2.0 - 1999 Edition
This United Nations University Press Collection contains 206 publications (32,000 pages) in the fields of environment, development and food and nutrition

World Environmental Library 1.0
The World Environmental Library 1.0 contains more than 400 publications (45,000 pages). The objective of this cooperative project is to provide those involved in the areas of environment with access to a free or low-cost CD-ROM library containing most multidisciplinary solutions they need to help tackle the pressing global problems.

Nous mettons à la disposition un choix de documents d'informations utiles sur le développement et les besoins humains essentiels. Plus de 35.000 pages sont réparties en thèmes que vous pouvez découvrir sous le bouton "sujets". Nous invitons les ONG, Universités, et les Départements Gouvernementaux de nous joindre et de partager leurs publications dans un objectif non lucratif. Le but est de créer une bibliothèque CD-ROM contenant 3000 à 5000 livres / 400.000 pages d'informations essentielles et qui pourra être ajoutée à chaque ordinateur en Afrique.

United Nations University Library
This collection contains 137 publications in the fields of environment, development and food and nutrition. It has been made available by the United Nations University, an organ of the United Nations established by the General Assembly in 1972 to be an international community of scholars engaged in research, advanced training, and the dissemination of knowledge related to the pressing global problems of human survival, development and welfare. Its activities focus mainly on peace and conflict resolution, development in a changing world, and science and technology in relation to human welfare.

Food and Agriculture Organization Library
This collection consists of documents published by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. The majority (as of January 2001) of the English, French and Spanish documents from their Corporate Document Repository are indexed here for searching. The FAO Corporate Document Repository houses FAO documents and publications, as well as selected non-FAO publications, in electronic format. It enables users to easily access the accumulated knowledge and information produced by FAO directly on the Internet.
